Cocoa Absolute (Theobroma cacao) is an exotic natural oil extracted from cocoa bean powder and has a rich, delicious chocolate liquor aroma. Its botanical name translates to Theobroma (“food of the gods”) cacao. Cocoa contains valuable anti-oxidants and promotes softer, more youthful looking skin. Anti-oxidants aid in protecting cells, collagen, and elastin from damage caused by free radicals in our environment. Cocoa has also been used throughout history as an aphrodisiac, probably due to the positive effects of flavonols, which are active constituents naturally found in cacao.

Organic Sapote Fruit Seed Oil (Pouteria sapota) is an orange colored oil that is cold pressed from the black seeds of the Sapote fruit. Sapote oil contains a natural almond scent, similar to marzipan. Mamey sapote is rich in vitamins A, C, plant proteins, carbohydrates, iron, potassium, and calcium. Sapote oil has deeply moisturizing properties that are beneficial for dry skin.

Here is a recipe for an easy do-it-yourself foot soak you can create at home. Lime essential oil naturally contains astringent properties, which help to reduce foot swelling.  Lime essential oil also conditions and soothes skin.  If your feet are tired from from standing all day, wearing high heels, or running a marathon, this is a great foot soak for you!

Ingredients:

1 lime, sliced thin

1/2 cup sea salt (or add our Vanilla/Lime Aromatherapy Bath Salts)

4 drops lime essential oil

Directions: Fill a large bowl or your bathtub with warm to hot water and add the above ingredients.  Soak your feet for 15 minutes and towel dry.  Afterward your feet will feel refreshed and renewed!
